B.B.A. in Business Administration, Major in Accounting
with emphasis in Petroleum Accounting, from Texas Tech University in 1982.
CAREER EXPERIENCE
1982 - 1983: Mesa Petroleum Company.
While with Mesa Mr. Lewis was responsible for all its joint interest authorizations
for expenditures. Mr. Lewis also worked on numerous special projects
involving joint interest billings and off-shore operations.
1983 - Present: Lewis, Kaufman & Company, P.C.
Mr. Lewis has been involved in management consulting services for a wide
variety of West Texas Clients. He has developed a recognized specialty in
agricultural cooperatives, the financial institution industry, and in
personal financial planning. Mr. Lewis has contributed to the growth of the
firm and is deeply committed to client service and tot the personal and
professional growth of his associates. Mr. Lewis was elevated to stockholder
January 1, 1991.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Mr.
Lewis is active in several Plainview organizations, including positions with
the Plainview Area United Way, the Plainview Chamber of Commerce, the
Plainview Noon Optimist Club, Leadership Plainview, and the First Baptist
Church of Plainview. He is past Treasurer of Wee Care Child Center, Inc., an
organization providing child care for qualifying families.
Mr. Lewis was an adjunct professor at Wayland Baptist University from 1983
through 1989.
Mr. Lewis maintains membership in the American Institute of C.P.A.s, Texas
Society of C.P.A.s, National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives and the
Management of Accounting Practice - West Texas Chapter.
